Here's a little taster of some of the popular dive
sites we use along the south coast of Tenerife, on both sides
of the southern most tip of the island. This gives us the diversity
to dive every day of the year!
Black Cove
a
great dive for all levels. A favourite place for octopus and cuttlefish.
The dive follows a shallow reef of white rocks, 5 - 6 metres below
the surface through overhangs and deep crevases. Around and down
the other side of the reef is a wall of hexagonal columns, 18
metres at the base. one of the dives you will do during a PADI
training course.
Watch out for: sharpnose pufferfish,
schools of juvenile bream, octopus, graden eels.
Stingrays and wreck
a short boat trip out to one of the most spectacular sites in
Tenerife. The wreck is renowned for the large numbers of stingrays
and shoals of schooling fish. Take a torch and investigate the
moray eels and stonefish hidden in the sides of the wreck and
on the near by reef. A memorable dive! depth 17mts-22mts.
Watch out for: STINGRAYS! Schooling
bream, the resident moray in the fishing boat wreck.
Las Eras
one
of the best Shore dives available in Tenerife. A rich diversity
of Sub Tropical marine life is never far away. Visibility is always
15mts plus; the site is only 20 minutes from the centre and of
course all transport is provided. There is a swim through at twelve
metres and the rock formations are breathtaking. Depth 6mts-30mts,
suits all levels of divers. This ones a must!!
Watch out for: Trumpetfish, barracuda,
dorada, glasseyes, fireworms, squid.
Palm Mar
A fifteen minute boat ride from harbour takes us to a great rock
face covered in morays, swim through and caves. There are often
stingrays flying past and visibility never drops below 20mts.
Depth 20-28mts
Watch out for: Lobsters, morays, cardinals.

Playa San Blas
Our own training dive site for those who are diving for the first
time. Lots of smaller marine life, squid and octopus. A GREAT
SANDY BOTTOM FOR PERFECTING SKILLS and only a 2 minute stroll
from the shop. Depth 8mts max
Watch out for: Flounder, razorfish.
Playa Paraiso
a
20 minute ride along the coast towards San Juan brings you to
a lovely cove next to the Lido in Playa Paraiso. Famous for its
mushroom rocks and canyons there is much to explore and see. Sheltered
entry and exit point with a good selection of aquatic life. Depth
ranges from 8mts-30 mts.
Watch out for: Eagle rays, schools
of striped mulllet

El Condesito
wreck dive with a diffrence, this wreck is positioned close to
the shore line with the wheel house just 5 metres below the surface.
Access via boat in beautiful clear waters with 20 metres under
the stern, making this a dive suitable for any level of diver.
Particularly good for the underwater photographer due to the rock
formations surrounding the wreck, and its home to a mutitude of
marine life.
Watch out for: Angel sharks, filefish

Poris De Abona
a
little Canarian fishing village, there is an excellent giant stride
entry from the jetty wall at high tide into clear waters protected
by a natural reef. There is a clear sandy bottom perfect for practicing
skills and we do use this site for Open Water Courses. There are
rocky outcrops to explore and Angel Sharks have been known to
glide past. A nice chilled out dive! Depth 5mts-15mts.
Watch out for: Cuttlefish, flounder,
rays, angel sharks.

Yellow Mountain
a
deep boat dive into an exciting array of arches, swim throughs
and rock chimney. When the sun shines through the water here it's
so beautiful and visibility so clear. There are brightly coloured
moray eels hidden in the rocks and sand dunes. One of the more
challenging dives. Depth 15mts-35mts.
Watch out for: Garden eels, tiger
morays, rays, spider crabs, painted comber.

Los Champiņones (The Mushrooms)
a drift dive, we start by descending to 30 metres plus amongst
mushroom shaped rocks, then we ascend to 15 metres and allow let
current take us over the lava flows. This allows us to cover a
considerable distance, taking in beautiful rock formations and
abundant marine life. An exciting and unusual dive!
Watch out for: Grouper, combers, stingrays, lobsters.
